Get to Know Chyulu Hills (Amboseli)
Rolling hills and dense forest combine with extinct volcanoes and sweeping views
The Chyulu Hills, which separate the Tsavo plains from the Amboseli plains, is home to Chyulu National Park. The private concession of West Chyulu is here too, offering good lodge options outside the mass tourism of Amboseli National Park where visitors go to see both elephant and Mount Kilimanjaro. Although Chyulu Hills National Park is on the eastern slopes of the hills, the view of Kilimanjaro is from the western side. Dramatic lava flows and small craters outline the rolling hills and the elevation is ideal for sweeping views.
