Savuti - Chobe National Park

Staying at andBeyond Savute Under Canvas

The trip starts in Kasane where you are met at the airport, on time for the scheduled charter flight to Savute, a remote and wild corner of Chobe National Park, stretches from the park’s northern boundaries to the Linyanti River. The tented mobile camp, Savute Under Canvas, is your home base for the next 2 nights. The common guest area comprises open-sided tents for dining, pre-dinner drinks, or simply whiling away the time between game viewing adventures with a good book and a frosted beer or glass of wine. Delicious meals cooked over the coals are shared around a blazing fire. Game viewing in the area is very rewarding. Sizable numbers of elephant bulls are invariably present. You can spot large lion prides, as well as other smaller variety of predators that have flourished in the area. Savute is also a famous battleground for lion and spotted hyena. The area is also popular with zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, giraffe, tsessebe and kudu.

Okavango Delta

Staying at andBeyond Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp

After an intense few days of exploring the wildlife of the Savute region, you'll be transferred to the airstrip for the scheduled charter flight to the Okavango Delta. You will be spending 3 nights at Nxabega Tented Camp. The camp is known for its elegant tented accommodation, which boasts breathtaking views of both mature mopane woodlands and seasonally flooded grasslands. Ideally positioned to explore the magnificence of the Okavango Delta, Nxabega is located on an exclusive 25,000-hectare (61,775-acre) wildlife concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. Explore the thrilling wildlife diversity on exclusive morning and afternoon game drives that continue after sunset. The varied landscape also lends itself to a wealth of bird species which includes the exciting possibility of sighting the elusive Pel’s fishing owl after nightfall. You can also experience the foot, guided by expert guides, and seasonal mokoro-boat activities.

Day 6 - 7

Okavango Delta

Staying at andBeyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp

You will be transferred to the airstrip for another scheduled charter flight hop further into the Delta. You will arrive at your last camp, Xaranna, your home for the next 2 nights. With sweeping views opening up onto a seasonal lagoon, this light and airy camp enjoys luxurious solitude on its own Delta Island, within an exclusive 90,500-hectare (223,630-acre) wildlife concession. You’ll love the romantic outdoor sala, private plunge pool, indoor bathtub and al fresco shower. By now, you will have found your rhythm on safari, explore the area with secluded game drives, seasonal water activities and walking safaris. Lion prides, cheetah, leopard and African wild dog may be encountered, while hippo reside in deeper channels and lagoons. Honey badgers are observed during daylight hours. Roan and sable antelope favour taller grass in open woodlands and families of dwarf and banded mongoose occupy large termite mounds.

End of Itinerary

On your final leg of the trip, you'll be whisked away after breakfast and the scheduled charter flight will take you to Maun Airport. From there, you will either take a return flight home, or continue your stay in wonderful Africa.
