This is a great combination for the discerned traveller. It is often said that the Savuti grasslands provide the best game viewing in Africa, with one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the continent, through all seasons. Combine this with the new Nogatsaa Pans in the Chobe National Park, its remote location overlooking the Kwikamba Pan makes for a great safari adventure.
You start your journey with a flight from Kasane to Savuti Airstrip where you will be met by the lodge representative and transferred to the lodge.
High tea is served in the afternoon, where you will meet your guide and fellow safari travellers. The game drives sets out on a private road network and ends at a scenic Baobab site, where you are assured of an amazing African sunset.
Dinner is served once you are back at the lodge, and then it's off to your big, comfortable bed.

A full day to explore this area. Nogatsaa area has a cluster of natural clay-bottom pans which fill during the rainy season. During the dry season the pans get supplemented with water thereby reducing some wildlife pressure off the congested Chobe River and lends itself to some amazing game sightings.

Malaria prophylaxis is recommended when you're travelling to the northern part of Botswana. Other immunizations may be necessary depending upon the circumstances of the trip and the medical history of the traveller.
Insect repellents are recommended, in conjunction with other measures to prevent mosquito bites.
All travellers should visit either a travel clinic or their personal physician four to eight weeks before departure. Malaria - Prophylaxis with Lariam (mefloquine), Malarone (atovaquone/proguanil) or doxycycline is recommended for the northern part of the country.
Electricity in Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and in most of the continent is 220/240 volts.
Most safari lodges and camps are not connected to an electrical supply. Solar lighting (backed up by batteries) is common, with many lodges having a generator, which runs part of the day (morning and late evening when guests are out on their activities).
Lanterns also provide light at night. In many camps running on solar power, you will not be able to use a hairdryer.
The Chobe River originates in Angola, the Kwando River.
It flows along the northeast edge of Botswana's Chobe National Park, becoming the Linyati River and ultimately the Chobe River.
